<image:title>General Blog - Why Meaning Alone Cannot Operate the Physical World - Its not just pretty graphics</image:title>
<image:caption>The Semantic Twin may already record that two assets are LOCATED_IN Area 12. That relationship establishes useful context, ownership and scope. It does not establish clearance, line of sight, navigability, obstruction, reach or physical feasibility. The Semantic Twin can tell us that two assets are in the same module. The Spatial Twin can help establish whether one prevents access to the other. That gap is where the walkdown lives.</image:caption>

<image:title>General Blog - Why Meaning Alone Cannot Operate the Physical World - Minimum Viable Spatial Context</image:title>
<image:caption>This also answers the objection that scanning everything would cost too much. It would, and nobody should attempt it. Capture the areas and fidelity required by a defined operational outcome, demonstrate the result, then extend where the evidence justifies it. Reuse changes the economics. A capture supporting a feasibility check may also serve familiarisation, permit coordination, incident review, training and robot route planning. Spatial evidence often becomes more valuable as more workflows reuse it, which is why funding it from a single departmental budget tends to produce the wrong answer.</image:caption>

<image:caption>The problem is not that the asset has several truths. The problem is that traditional systems fragment the dimensions of truth across documents, applications, departments and suppliers—and leave the user to reconcile them manually. The purpose of the Digital Twin is to bring those dimensions together into one governed operational model.</image:caption>

<image:caption>The Digital Thread is often described as the flow of information across the asset lifecycle. That is correct, but incomplete. A useful Digital Thread must preserve not only information but also the decisions that moved the asset from one authorised state to another: what changed and why, who proposed and approved it, what evidence supported the decision, when it became effective, whether the work was completed and verified, what was affected, and which state is now authoritative.</image:caption>

<image:title>General Blog - The Ultimate XR Device - A Dream? Part 1 - Refresh Rate</image:title>
<image:caption>A higher refresh rate, measured in hertz (Hz), guarantees smoother motion and less motion blur. Most XR headsets target a minimum of 90Hz to ensure a pleasant experience. Conversely, lower refresh rates may result in stuttering and discomfort, including nausea.</image:caption>

<image:title>General Blog - The Ultimate XR Device - A Dream? Part 1 - Field of View (FOV)</image:title>
<image:caption>A broader Field of View (FOV) enables users to observe more of the virtual environment simultaneously, enhancing the immersion. Conversely, a narrower FOV may seem limiting and diminish engagement. The field of view, typically around 120 degrees horizontally for binocular vision, is an element of human sight replicated in XR design. This width in the field of view can facilitate immersive experiences that feel boundless.</image:caption>
</image:image>

<image:title>General Blog - The Ultimate XR Device - A Dream? Part 1 - Pixel Density (PPD)</image:title>
<image:caption>A higher pixel density, measured in Pixels Per Degree, diminishes the screen door effect, which is the visibility of gaps between pixels. This improvement in pixel density enhances visual quality and immersion for the user. XR displays aim to replicate human visual acuity, quantified in arcminutes. On a standard eye test chart, such as the Snellen chart, the smallest detail discernible by a person with 20/20 vision is 1 arcminute in width, which is approximately 1/60th of a degree in angular measurement.</image:caption>

<image:title>General Blog - The Ultimate XR Device - A Dream? Part 1 - Latency</image:title>
<image:caption>Display latency, also known as "motion-to-photon" latency, is the time delay between a user's physical movement and the corresponding visual update on the XR display. <image:title>General Blog - XR : Experience is Everything! - UI & UX</image:title>
<image:caption>UI design is centred on crafting the visual and interactive aspects of an application, including screens, buttons, icons, and toggles, focusing on the application's aesthetics and feel. Conversely, UX design is concerned with the overall user experience, encompassing user interactions with the application and their emotional response. UX designers engage in research, develop user personas, construct wireframes, and test design choices to guarantee that applications are functional, accessible, and pleasurable. Thus, although UI and UX design are interconnected, they fulfil separate functions in the realm of application development.</image:caption>

At each inspection point, they would access comprehensive step-by-step instructions and necessary data for tasks at these critical locations. This would enable them to offer more effective guidance and have a more detailed understanding of the work's influence on production, safety, and other critical site operations. Enhanced supervisory insights and visualisations to enhance coordination and conduct more thorough impact assessments that will enhance both the efficiency and safety of complex procedures.</image:caption>

<image:caption>When we deployed the iPad’s they had the ability to see each other, we delivered video, and along side this we were able to share content. Sharing content with people sitting in front of laptops is easy, however sharing content with the remote worker on an iPad using the basic Teams capabilities on a tablet has a more limited value, and is less practical to use as it is difficult to navigate the content; sometimes even difficult to see it when you are at the front line with protective gear on and tools in your hand.</image:caption>

<image:caption>The first time I saw my Persona on the Vision Pro my initial thought was “How much Botox have I had?” It was a little creepy, but I have to say its improved dramatically with the recent VisionOS updates. The Persona’s feature (which is still in Beta) solves the problem of you appearing in a collaboration call wearing a headset and is certainly much better than cartoon based avatar’s that feature on other Collaboration Platforms.</image:caption>
